What a great experience it was filming Ted Siebert, Brian Turnbough and Bill Dow of The Sand Sculpture Company. It took just over a week and at the end we had 6 camera’s rolling trying to catch every angle and detail. The footage above is about 1/3 of the total shot as we had to get the Science Museum a quick version for the opening day which was a hugh success  with over 1500 people seeing the exhibit. We plan on doing a longer version with more footage and actual video, so be sure to check back!

The Shark Exhibit is from June 27 – Nov 1, 2009.

Be amazed by a sand shark and a marine food web made entirely of 100 tons of sand. See a sand sculpture’s creation by Guinness World Record-holding and award-winning artist Ted Siebert of The Sand Sculpture Company.

Get your hands wet as you meet living sharks and other marine creatures. What should you be more afraid of: a shark or a pig? Did you know that sharks have a “sixth” sense? The shark tank demonstration is free, but tickets are required and available at guest services. For safety reasons, children must be 40 inches or taller to experience the touch tanks.
