Full day filming a video tour of the Altria Operations Center in Richmond Va.


RichmondTimeLapse spent several days putting this video tour of a half million square foot commercial space. The biggest hurdle doing a video tour was the shear size of the building and what to shoot.

We started first by placing a time lapse camera setup at the entrance to get the bold red front door and we were hoping the clouds would burn off and get a good opening shot. We then proceeded to bring out dolly and crane setups via the load in dock. We had the run of the place, since it is not being occupied right now and this helps with setting up shots and not having to worry about people getting in the frame or shot!

Our favorite part was the helicopter ride from www.heloair.com to get the aerial shots and they were very helpful in getting the right position. Getting this aspect for the video production was very crucial in showing the vast size of the property.
